His Majesty King Abdullah said that events have shown developed and developing nations alike, that we don't live in isolation, we share a common fate and future.

The King added that in the 21st Century-for all nations-"national interest" itself has a moral dimension, because we cannot fully succeed unless we accept our common humanity.

These statements came in His Majesty's address to the Swedish Institute of International Affairs (Utrikespolitiska Institutet) in Stockholm on Wednesday in front of 200 political, academic and media figures with the presence of Their Majesties Queen Rania, King Carl Gustaf, Queen Sylvia and HRH Crown Princess Victoria and His Majesty's accompanying delegation.

His Majesty added that Jordan commits itself to the path of development, progress and peace." We have spoken out, boldly, in the name of tolerance and justice. We have taken risks for peace in our region and around the world. And we have embarked on an extensive program of economic, political and social reform", the king said further.
