His Majesty King Abdullah on Sunday departed on a visit to Qatar.

King Abdullah, accompanied by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, will attend the opening ceremony of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 on Sunday evening, at the invitation of Qatar Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

The opening ceremony will be attended by a number of heads of state and government.

His Royal Highness Prince Raad bin Zeid was sworn in as Regent in the presence of Cabinet members.
