His Majesty King Abdullah on Friday stressed that Jordan is moving ahead with its comprehensive reform programs, liberalizing national economy, enhancing democracy and developing investment climate.
"Jordan will continue the implementation of sustainable development programs and reforms despite the difficult regional circumstances," King Abdullah said.
Addressing a conference organized by Cisco Systems in South Carolina for major international IT companies, King Abdullah said Jordan seeks to employ information technology to enhance its development progress.
His Majesty said that Jordan is leading a process to bridge the gap between East and West and to stand up against extremism and isolation.
King Abdullah called on the world's IT companies to invest in Jordan, underlining that the investment climate in the country offers several incentives for businessmen.
On regional issues, His Majesty pointed out to the importance of exerting efforts to end the Palestinian- Israeli conflict and establish an independent and viable Palestinian state.
For his part, Cisco Chief Executive John Chambers highly valued His Majesty King Abdullah's efforts to achieve development in Jordan and the region. He also pointed out that the trained and qualified Jordanians could turn Jordan into a vital center for investments.
