His Majesty King Abdullah Returns Home

His Majesty King Abdullah II arrived back in Amman Monday following a gulf tour which took him to Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.

During his visit to Saudi Arabia, King Abdullah held talks with King Fahed of Saudi Arabia and Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah Bin Abdel Aziz on the latest developments in the Arab region with special reference to the deteriorating security situation in the Palestinian territories.

Upon his arrival in Kuwait earlier on the day, King Abdullah met Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Jaber Al Ahmed Al-Sabah and congratulated him on his recovery after a hospitalization trip . The meeting was attended by Kuwaiti Heir Apparent and Prime Minister Saed Abdullah Al Sabah.

King Abdullah also held talks with Kuwaiti Deputy Prime Minister Sabah Al Ahmed Al-Sabah on a number of Arab issues particularly preparations for the upcoming Arab summit scheduled in Beirut next March. The talks, which were attended by the Royal Court Chief and the King`s Private Advisor HRH Prince Talal Bin Mohammad, also dealt with the mounting tension in the Palestinian areas and the current efforts to stop the cycle of spiraling violence there.

In Kuwait King Abdullah also met Abu Dhabi Heir Apparent and Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces Sheikh Khalefeh Bin Zayed, who arrived in Kuwait also to congratulate Sheikh on his recovery.
