King Visits Prime Ministry

His Majesty King Abdullah II visited on Thursday the Prime Ministry where he chaired a meeting that was attended by Prime Minister Ali Abul Ragheb and the economic ministerial team.

The King was briefed by the prime minister on the government's economic and social plans in the general budget for the fiscal year 2003 in addition to projects of the socio-economic transformation program.

His Majesty was also briefed on the government's accomplishments in 2002 as well as its future aspirations to enhance these accomplishments and build on them with a view to enhance productivity and improve the standards of living of citizens.

King Abdullah urged the government to speed up the implementation of projects especially in the fields of health and education in order to improve services provided to citizens.

He stressed the importance of the role played by the private sector in cooperation with the public sector to achieve the aspired for development, increase employment opportunities and tackle the problems of poverty and unemployment.
