King Takes Part in the Opening of the IDEX in Abu Dhabi

His Majesty King Abdullah II took part in the opening of the International Defense Exhibition (IDEX) in Abu Dhabi where the latest defense systems are displayed.

The King visited pavilions of a number of participating countries as well as the Jordanian pavilion where he saw equipments that have been designed by the King Abdullah Center for Design and Development.

These equipments include the 3160M Tank, military vehicles, the personnel carrier 113M and other equipments used by the Jordan armed forces.

Deputy Head of the Board of Directors of the General Corporation for Exhibitions in the United Arab Emirates Saeed Ben Jabir Al Suweidi delivered a speech in which he welcomed His Majesty's presence at the opening ceremony.

He also praised Jordan's participation in the exhibition.

The King Abdullah Center for Design and Development which was established in 1999 with the support of King Abdullah, aims at designing and producing defense equipments to fulfill the needs of the Jordan armed forces and Middle Eastern markets.
