King Starts an Official Visit to Iran

In response to an Invitation by Iranian President Mohammad Khatami, His Majesty King Abdullah II started on Tuesday a two- day official visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran.



During his Majesty's first visit to Iran, the King will hold talks with Iranian President Mohammad Khatami, the supreme guide of the Islamic revolution Ali Khamn'i and Iranian senior officials, deal with the bilateral relations and means of enhancing them in all fields as well as issues of common concern particularly the developments of the Iraqi and Palestinian issues.



Upon arrival, the King was received by Iranian President Mohammad Khatami and Iranian senior officials.



His Majesty is accompanied by the Prime Minister, His Majesty's advisor for security affairs/ Director of the Intelligence Department/ Rapporteur of State Security Council, Minister of the Royal Court, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs/ Minister of Administrative Development, Planning Minster and Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Minister.
