His Majesty King Abdullah II received on Thursday the Chinese State Counselor Ismail Amat who conveyed to His Majesty greetings of the Chinese president as well as keenness of the Chinese leadership to promote relations with Jordan in the various fields.

During the meeting which was attended by Royal Court chief as well as the foreign minister, Amat affirmed that China attaches special attention to its relations with Jordan with a view to enhance these relations in the political, economic and cultural fields.

He said that China has put Jordan on the list of tourist countries to enable Chinese tourists to visit the Kingdom. The King and Amat also reviewed the situation in Iraq and Palestine as well as position of both countries on the two issues.
