King Receives Arab League Secretary General

His Majesty King Abdullah II discussed on Tuesday with Arab League Secretary General Amr Mousa the future of the situation in Iraq, mechanisms for activating the work of the Arab League and efforts aiming to re-launch peace process.

During the meeting which was attended by Minister of the Royal Court Faisal Fayez, Foreign Minister Marwan Muasher and Jordan's representative to the Arab League Hani Mulki, The King affirmed that the future of Iraq and the shape of its leadership should be determined by Iraqi people, The King pointed out to Jordan's support for Iraqi people's right to form their national government that can preserve the unity and sovereignty of the Iraqi territories.

Talks also covered the coming steps to start the implementation of the road map in the Palestinian territories, The King and Mousa stressed the importance of speeding up the formation of Palestinian government to launch the road map and start negotiations between Palestinians and Israelis.

The King and Mousa also discussed mechanisms of enhancing the joint Arab work through the Arab League.
