King Opens International Islamic Preaching & Guidance Conference

His Majesty King Abdullah II patronized on Sunday the inauguration of Islamic breaching and guidance conference at Al Hussein Youth City.

The three-day conference, which was organized by Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs entitled "Towards modern Islamic speech", seeks to discuss issues and challenges facing nation includes extremism and fanaticism Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affair and Chairman of the conference Ahmad Helyel delivered a speech in which he affirmed the conference is being held in international and Islamic circumstances as the universe became a small village science, knowledge, peoples' culture meeting through IC and cultural globalization.

Helyel paid attribute to His Majesty King Abdullah's efforts in following up the Al Aqsa Holly Mosque affairs in this regard His Majesty the King ordered a fifth minaret to be built and the Salah Alden's pulpit to be built which is being manufacturing at Al Balqa Applied University.

He called on all human communities loving peace to end the suffering of Iraqis and Palestinians. He also said that Jordan launched in Ramadan "Amman Message' which affirmed that Islam is a religion of moderation and tolerance now is facing bitter attack.

Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs in Saudi Arabia Sheikh Saleh Al Sheikh delivered a speech in which he paid attribute to Jordan's efforts in fighting accusations directed to Islam.

"No week passes in Amman without holding a conference, seminar or forum which gives Amman the right to be a true defender of nation's issues, Al Sheikh reiterated.
