King Meets Prince Talal bin Abdul Aziz

His Majesty King Abdullah II received at Bait Al Baraka on Wednesday, His Royal Highness Prince Talal bin Abdul Aziz, the Executive President of the Arab Gulf Program for Supporting UN Developmental Organizations.



During the meeting, which was attended by Prime Minister, Faisal Al Fayez, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade, Dr. Mohammad Halaiqah, and Planning and International Cooperation Minister, Dr. Bassim Awadallah, the King praised efforts of Prince Talal and well as his role in establishing and financing small-size projects in Arab countries, which contribute to creating new job opportunities and improving the standards of livings of their citizens, especially in sectors related to women, family as well as fighting poverty and unemployment.



The Jordanian government and the Program signed earlier today, an agreement to establish a national bank for small size projects at a capital of JD10 million. The step is designed to increase economic, investment and employment opportunities for citizens with limited income.



The program provides support to Arab countries in establishing banks that assist the poor in acquiring the necessary finds to establish small size projects.
