King Hold Talks with the Emir of Qatar

His Majesty King Abdullah II held talks in Doha on Thursday with the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Hamad Ben Khalifah Al Thani on developments in the region, particularly on the Palestinian and Iraqi fronts.

The talks also covered mechanisms of promoting Jordanian-Qatari ties in the various fields.

The two leaders stressed their keenness to develop cooperation between the two countries, most notably in the economic, trade and investment fields.

The talks were attended by Prime Minister Faisal Fayez, the King's Advisor for Security Affairs, Director of the Intelligence Department and Head of the State Security Council, General Saad Kheir, Minister of the Hashemite Royal Court Samir Rifai, Foreign Minister Dr. Hani Mulki and Jordan's ambassador to Qatar Omar Al Amad.

The talks were attended on the Qatari side by The Qatari Crown Prince Sheikh Tamim Ben Hamad Al Thani, Prime Minister Sheikh Abdullah Ben Hamad Al Thani, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad Ben Jasem and a number of senior Qatari officials.

Upon departing Doha at the conclusion of the visit, His Majesty was seen off by the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Hamad Ben Khalifah Al Thani and a number of senior Qatari officials.
