King Heads for Saudi Arabia

His Majesty king Abdullah II left for Riyadh on Tuesday on a brief visit to Saudi Arabia that will be followed by a two-day visit to Kuwait.



During his visit to Saudi Arabia, the King will hold talks with King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz, Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz and other senior of officials, on relations between the two countries, the situation in the region as well as the latest developments on the Palestinian and Iraqi fronts.



In Kuwait, His Majesty will hold talks with the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Jaber Al Ahmad Al Sabah, Prime Minister, Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Sabah and other senior officials on the current situation in the region, as well as means of enhancing cooperation between the two countries in the economic field.



King Abdullah is accompanied by an official delegation that includes His Royal Highness Prince Ali bin Al Hussein, The King's special advisor, His Royal Highness Prince Ghazi bin Mohammad, Prime Minister Fasial Al Fayez, the King's Advisor Yousef Al Dalabeeh, Hashemite Royal Court Minister, Sameer Rifai, the King's Advisor Akil Beltaji, Foreign Minister, Dr. Marwan Muasher, Planning and International Cooperation Minister, Dr. Bassim Awadallah and Minister of Tourism and Antiquities and Minister of Environment, Alia Bouran.



His Majesty is also accompanied by a delegation from the private sector to hold talks with the Kuwaiti side on investment opportunities in Jordan.



His Royal Highness Crown Prince Hamzah Bin Al Hussein was sworn in as regent in the presence of cabinet ministers.
