King Heads a Meeting in Aqaba

His Majesty King Abdullah II reviewed on Saturday report of the committee he ordered to form with a view to facilitate the process of clearing in Aqaba as well as the practical steps that have been taken to improve the level of performance and services provided to citizens and investors.

In a meeting he chaired at the Royal palace in Aqaba, the King instructed officials to remove the remaining obstacles until the end of next month.

During the meeting which was attended by Chief of the Royal Court and a number of ministers and officials, the King said that the aim of following up the process of clearing is easing the burden that citizens shoulder.

King Abdullah thanked the committee for implementing most of the recommendations that have been approved after he listend to comments made by citizens during his visit to the Aqaba Customs Directorate on July 14.

His Majesty is expected to chair another meeting after two weeks to follow up the process of implementing the remaining recommendations.
