King Follows Up Sending Aid to Palestinian Territories

His Majesty King Abdullah II and Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah Thursday followed up sending aid, pharmaceuticals and foodstuffs to the Palestinian territories by an airlift that the King had ordered earlier for this purpose.

Their Majesties and members of the national and international nongovernmental organizations participated in boarding the airplanes by aid materials offered by Jordan and Arab countries to the Palestinian territories.

Jordanian Air force airplanes started yesterday, Wednesday, to land in the Palestinian territories with pharmaceuticals and medical cadres of the Royal Medical Services (RMS) on board to the Palestinian territories.

The aid-full airplanes arrive consequently as they got permission by the Israeli authorities.

RMS sources said that endeavors are carried out to convey Palestinian injuries on board these airplanes for treatment in the Jordanian hospitals.

His Majesty, Wednesday gave orders to establish a special center in the Armed Forces Headquarters to administrate the relief operations and to facilitate arrival of national organizations` workers to the Palestinian territories.

King Abdullah and Queen Rania hailed the Jordanian peoples fraternal stand by their Palestinian brethren and expressed appreciation on the humanitarian efforts carried out by members of the national and international organizations to ease the burden of the ordeal the Palestinian people are passing through.
