His Majesty King Abdullah II conferred upon Indian activist, Janki Kriblani Al Istiqlal (Independence) Medal of the First Order in appreciation of her efforts to enhance interfaith dialogue and understanding in the health and social development fields.



Janki was the president of the Prahma Komaris University and an activist in the fields of heath and social development.



She established the first center for Brahma Komaris University outside India in 1974 and supervised the establishment of similar centers in 84 countries. Janki also contributed to establishing international projects in 129 countries related to the fields of community development, the improvement of the life of individuals and the protection of the environment.
