King Arrives in Kuwait

His Majesty King Abdullah II arrived in Kuwait Tuesday on a two-day visit for talks with Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Jaber Al Ahmed Al Sabah and other senior Kuwaiti officials and business leaders on bilateral relations and regional developments.



King Abdullah, who flew from Saudi Arabia, was welcomed at the airport by Emir of Kuwait and other Senior Kuwaiti officials.



The Jordanian-Kuwaiti summit on Wednesday is expected to focus on several issues of mutual interest, development of events in the region particularly the situation in Iraq and Palestine and the escalation of terrorist acts.



The King, who is accompanied by a high ranking delegation, will also meet leading Kuwaiti businessmen and investors for talks on economic and investment cooperation between the two countries. A number of Jordanian private sector business leaders are accompanying the King on the visit.
