His Majesty King Abdullah II received on Tuesday the EU Foreign Policy Chief/ Secretary General of EU Council, Javier Solana, and discussed with him means to revive the peace process though implementing the roadmap.



During the meeting, which was attended by Minister of the Royal
Court, Foreign Minister, and the EU envoy to the Middle East peace process, the King outlined the developments in the Palestinian lands, particularly the security situation in Gaza strip.



The King stressed the importance of the Palestinian people's
unity and empowering the Palestinian government to create suitable climate for putting the peace process back on its proper track.



His Majesty noted that the establishment of the Palestinian state, as stipulated in the roadmap, needs establishing Palestinian institutions with a view to achieve security in the Palestinian lands.
