King and Queen Start a Visit to Sweden

Their Majesties King Abdullah II and Queen Rania Al Abdullah started on Tuesday a three-day state visit to the Kingdom of Sweden.



During the visit, His Majesty will hold talks with the Swedish Monarch Carl Gustaf, the Swedish Prime Minister Goran Persson and speaker of the Swedish parliament.



His Majesty will also deliver a speech before members of the Swedish Foreign Policy Institute and will meet with a number of economic figures with a view to enhance economic, technical and investment cooperation between the two countries.



The King will also visit headquarter of the Islamic Association in Sweden, a number of major Swedish companies, steel mine and a space research institute.



Their Majesties received an official and popular reception at the Royal palace in Stockholm that was attended by members of the Swedish community in Sweden.



Upon arrival at the airport, Their Majesties were received by the Swedish Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Karl Philip.



His Majesty is a accompanied by a delegation that includes Chief Chamberlain Prince Raad Ben Zeid, HRH Princess Majida Raad, President of the Senate, Hashemite Royal Court Minister, Royal Court chief, and the ministers of foreign affairs and planning.
