King and Queen Arrive in Cairo

Their Majesties King Abdullah II and Queen Rania arrived at Cairo today on a short visit to Egypt.

His Majesty will hold talks with the Egyptian President Muhammad Hosni Mubarak on the latest developments in Iraq and the Arab position towards the future of Iraq.

The two leaders will also discuss the situation on the Palestinian territories and the need to re-launch negotiations between the Palestinians and Israelis and the implementation of the road map.

Upon arrival at the airport, Their Majesties were welcomed by the Egyptian President Muhammad Hosni Mubarak and Mrs. Suzanne Mubarak, the Prime Minister Mr. Atef Ebeed, Minister of Information Mr. Safwat Sharif, Minster of Foreign Affairs Mr. Ahmed Maher as well as several senior Egyptian officials and the Jordanian Ambassador to Cairo.

Their Majesties are accompanied by the Prime Minister Mr. Ali Abul Ragheb, Minister of the Royal Hashemite Court Mr. Faisal Fayez, Foreign Minister Mr. Marwan Muasher and the advisor at the Royal Hashemite Court Mr. Farouk Qasrawi.
