King Abdullah Takes Part in Last day of 2nd Youth Forum

His Majesty King Abdullah II Sunday affirmed his full support to visions and ideas put forward by the youth at the closing session of the 2nd Jordanian Youth Forum.



Addressing students taking part in the session, the King stressed his full support for youth thoughts, visions, aspirations, and recommendation they reached during their forum. The King stressed the importance of dealing seriously with these recommendations and urged the students to follow up their recommendations by forming a joint committee from students and the concerned parties.



The King called for giving the youth chances to express their thoughts and opinions and empower them to participate in youth media programs.



The King also affirmed the necessity of expanding funding resources for leading projects operated by Jordanian young people.



The 130 gifted and excellent students representing Jordanian universities concluded their forum with recommendations calling for the necessity to create a secure and supportive environment to promote their potentials and enable them to participate effectively in activities particularly those related to economic development.



The two-day forum's recommendations focused on the importance of activating the youth participation in parliamentary elections, municipal elections and students' council elections.



They also recommended that parliamentary, religious and media platform should be used to talk about aspirations and ambitions of the youth sector.
