King Abdullah Meets Former U.S. President and Israeli Foreign Minister

On the sidelines of his participation in the U.S. Fortune Foundation Conference on Tuesday, His Majesty King Abdullah met former U.S. President Bill Clinton and Israeli Foreign Minister Shimon Peres and discussed the deteriorating situation in the Palestinian areas and the tremendous Palestinian suffering under Israeli occupation.

The King called for an immediate work to revitalize the Middle East peace process on the basis of Madrid terms of reference, the Arab peace plan and President Bush's vision on Middle East peace that stated the establishment of a Palestinian state within a period of three years.

King Abdullah, who attended some sessions of the Fortune's conference particularly those devoted to global development and the role of the developing countries, met Sheikh Hamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the Economic Department in Abu Dhabi and Lester Brown, Board Chairman of Aspen Institute.

The King, who is currently on a visit to the United States, also met dozens of the IT sector leaders in the United States where he affirmed Jordan's strong resolve to offer all means to its people to enable them to build a better future in this ever-changing world.
