His Majesty King Abdullah II Wednesday returned home following a several hours visit to Sharm El-sheikh, where he met with King Hamad Bin Issa Al-Khalifa of Bahrain, who was in a private visit there. The two leaders discussed the remarkable relations between the two brotherly countries and peoples, and mechanisms to activate them on all levels.

The discussions, attended by His Royal Highness Prince Faisal Bin Al-Hussein, focused also on the developments of Palestinian situations and efforts and contacts taking place currently to stop the circle of violence and move the peace process.

The two leaders affirmed the necessity to activate the Arab peace initiative, which was approved by Beirut summit, and called mainly to end the Israeli occupation.

The two leaders pointed out that it is important that any peace plan to end the Arab Israeli conflict depend on a specific timetable for negotiations and ensuring the establishment of independent Palestinian state on the Palestinian territories.
