King Abdullah II Receives Congress Delegation

His Majesty King Abdullah II Monday received the American congress delegation headed by J. Luis and N. Decks, members of allocations committee.

The discussions focused on bilateral relations between Jordan and USA, and backlashes of the Iraqi crisis, in addition to development of situations in the Palestinian territories.

His Majesty reaffirmed support to international diplomatic endeavors seeking a solution that would make the region avert a war against Iraq. He expressed hope of solving this issues under the UN umbrella.

The King stressed the necessity to solve the Palestinian issue as soon as possible in order to achieve peace and stability in the region.

He reiterated Jordan's continued efforts to find a just, comprehensive and lasting solution and to end the Palestinian people's suffering.

His Majesty called for speedy implementation of Road Map.

The delegation's visit is the third leg in a tour in the region that included Qatar and Kuwait.
