King Abdullah Accompanies Moroccan Monarch in a Tour around Amman Downtown

His Majesty King Abdullah II on Tuesday accompanied King Mohammad VI in a tour around Amman downtown. Their Majesties' motorcade started from the Royal Palace heading for Greater Amman Municipality City Hall in the center of Amman. Crowds of people lined up the streets hoisting Jordanian and Moroccan flags and life-size photos to welcome Their Majesties.

Upon arriving Amman Municipality main park, the site of the municipality celebration in honour of the Moroccan monarch, Their Majesties were welcomed by Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah, HRH Prince Faisal Bin Al Hussein, the King Advisor for Tribal Affairs Prince Ghazi Bin Mohammad, Prince Hashem Bin Al Hussein and several government senior officials King Mohammad VI was presented with Amman Golden Key by Amman Mayor Nidal Al Hadid in expression of feeling of respect and appreciation held by the Jordanian people to the Moroccan monarch.

In a welcoming statement, Hadid said Amman is proud to host you and the Jordanian homes will remain open to welcome you.

King Mohammad arrived in Amman on Monday on a several-day state visit to Jordan. He held talks with His Majesty King Abdullah on Monday covering bilateral relations and the situation in the Arab region particularly on the Palestinian scene.
