Jordanian-American Summit to be Held Today

His Majesty King Abdullah will hold talks today with US President George Bush at the White House on ways to relaunch the peace process and implement the roadmap to Middle East peace, in addition to the future of Iraq.



The talks will also include bilateral relations and means of enhancing them especially in the economic fields.



The King, who left on Wednesday for a two-day visit to the US, has met with National security advisor Condolesa Rice with the presence of the director general of the intelligence department Saad Kheir and the US secretary general for Middle East Affairs William Burns.



The King and Rice discussed the subjects of the coming Jordanian-American summit especially the developments in the occupied Palestinian lands affirming the importance of the US role in supporting the efforts to relaunch the peace process.



His Majesty is accompanied by an official delegation that includes the prime minister, director of the general intelligence department and senior officials.
