His Majesty King Abdullah II receives Director of USAID

His Majesty King Abdullah II Monday affirmed the importance to accomplish the social and economic development program, which will contribute to affording a better life for Jordanians in the various parts of the Kingdom. He hailed the international community`s contribution to support productive and income generating projects.

During a meeting with USAID General director Andrew Natsios and the accompanying delegation, His Majesty pointed out that economic relations between Jordan and USA are consistently developing, particularly as the free trade agreement between the two countries has come into effect last month.

The King hailed the programs USAID carry out, particularly in the field of financing projects of water, health care and micro loans projects.

On his part, Natsios affirmed that Jordan`s accomplishments in the field of economic, educational and administrative reform, as well as the essential advance in boosting economic development, have become a model for developing countries. He pointed out that USAID, which has remarkable relations with the Jordanian government, gives special care for the development projects which are followed up, personally, by His Majesty King Kimg Abdullah II.

In another occasion Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah received Natsios, where discussions focused on fields of cooperation and the partnership program between Jordan and USAID.

The meeting focused on reviewing the remarkable stories which form a model of successful partnership between USAID and the various Jordanian establishments, in addition to USAID role in offering the needed support to carry out creative programs in the fields of education, health and micro projects.
