His Majesty King Abdullah II Follows up Accomplishments In Aqaba Special Zone

One year after the opening of the Aqaba Special Economic Zone (ASEZ), His Majesty King Abdullah II was keen to follow up the size of accomplishments achieved in this zone on which the Jordanian economy pins high hopes to become an area for investment and tourism attraction at the Middle East level.

Presiding over a meeting on Thursday at the ASEZ Authority, The King reiterated that citizens must feel the results of the economic transformation which Aqaba has started to witness.

He called for benefiting from the time factor and speed up execution of major economic and tourism projects valued at $800m over the next 5 years.

His Majesty stressed the need to take fast tangible measures to encourage local and foreign investors and promote the idea of one- window investment.
